Campaign Overview

To stimulate our tourism economy, our “Give the Gift of East Coast Tasmania” campaign will showcase participating operators who have gift vouchers and / or mail order (online shopping) options available to purchase for products and experiences on the East Coast.

This campaign is primarily designed for ‘gift ideas’ to encourage visitors to travel to the East Coast, and while they are here, increase their length of stay and visitor spend. It will allow for direct sales and bookings to your business

If visitors aren’t able to travel to the East Coast, it will also enable them to purchase direct from you, the business, and have a piece of the East Coast in their home for Christmas or special occasion.

The campaign will run from the 8th November 2021 – 31st December 2021.

How will the campaign be distributed?

This regional campaign will be distributed via the following ECTT channels:

  • Website – a dedicated page on the website will showcase all participating businesses and the associated gift voucher or mail order options
  • Blog – a dedicated blog will be published listing all participating businesses
  • Consumer eDMs – a summary of all the participating operators will be distributed to our database of over 6,500 subscribers
  • Social Media – the campaign will be featured across all our social media channels, as well as individual posts from participating operators

We want you to get involved

The campaign has been designed as a whole region activation. We would like as many businesses on the East Coast represented in this campaign to showcase the depth and breadth that the East Coast has to offer.

All tourism and hospitality businesses are invited to participate.

The Tasmanian tourism industry acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their enduring custodianship of lutruwita / Tasmania. We honour 40,000 years of uninterrupted care, protection and belonging to these islands, before the invasion and colonisation of European settlement. As a tourism industry that welcomes visitors to these lands, we acknowledge our responsibility to represent to our visitors Tasmania’s deep and complex history, fully, respectfully and truthfully. We acknowledge the Aboriginal people who continue to care for this country today. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present. We honour their stories, songs, art, and culture, and their aspirations for the future of their people and these lands. We respectfully ask that tourism be a part of that future.
